CLASSIC ADOBO
Ingredients
1 kg Mrs. Garcia's Pork Adobo Cut
1 pc Onion (thinly sliced)
1 head Garlic (minced)
2 pcs Bay Leaves
1 tbsp Brown Sugar (optional)
1/2 Black Pepper
1 tbsp Oil
1 cup Vinegar
1/2 cup Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Salt
Preparation
1. In a bowl combine pork, soy sauce, onions, garlic, bay leaves, salt, and pepper. Marinate for at least 30 minutes inside of refrigerator.
2. In a large pan or pot, heat cooking oil over medium-high heat. Add marinated pork pieces then sear until all sides are browned.
3. Pour in the vinegar and water. The liquid should almost cover the pork.
4. Bring mixture to a boil, then lower heat to a gentle simmer.
5. Cover pan and let pork meat cook for about 40-50 minutes or until meat is tender and sauce is reduced.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. You may also add brown sugar.
7. Serve hot with rice and a side of vegetables or salad.
